Charlotte Internet marketing should begin with the most popular search engine on the planet today. Of course, we mean Google. And all things Google.
The Idea People includes Google as a large part of our client Internet marketing and social media business marketing because their share of search engine searches is so gigantic. And the people at Google are very creative with developing useful tools to aide in searching and spending time online with Google and Google products.
We use Google Places and Maps as the first place to list, promote, refine and place our clients when marketing on the Internet. View our Google Places and Maps listing here. The basic Google Places and Maps listing is free. And the basic listing includes photos, keywords, descriptions, hours, videos, maps, and reviews from customers. If you have noticed while searching on Google, the Google Places and Maps are generally now the first search engine results that are displayed. Pretty smart stuff.
Google Tags and Google Boost are relatively new products that Google introduced last year. The Idea People uses both products for our own Internet marketing and search engine optimization program. Google Tags cost $25 each month. It is a 160-character description, a photograph, a video, a menu, or a company update that Google places directly under your Google Places listing with a yellow “tag” that highlights your special announcement. Pretty cool.
Google Boost is tied in more closely to your AdWords account because Boost is actually a pay-per-click Ad that is displayed with your Google Places and Maps listing. It can range anywhere from a low custom amount that you select up to $1,500+ each month. The cost per click is averaging about $5.
As a business owner, you should embrace Google and their various products. As long as Internet marketing is a viable tool for growing a business, and we don’t see it going away any time soon, Google products can help you grow your Internet presence, differentiate from competitors, and help attract new visitors and prospects to your online business site!
