I Rock My Mac is a Charlotte-based Internet learning company that uses easy-to-follow video chapters to help frustrated Mac owners learn the software that came on their computer.   “Our world Seth Marlowe of I Rock My Mac 214x300 New Charlotte Web Company Launches Brand from The Idea Peopletoday is totally based on using the Internet to educate, entertain and explore,” said I Rock My Mac founder Seth Marlowe.  “I Rock My Mac is a resource that will help frustrated Mac users easily learn how to implement all of the software that came on their Mac to make their lives more creative, expressive and enjoyable.”

In the middle of the roughest economic climate in modern history, 40-year old Charlotte native, husband, and father of three girls, Seth Marlowe, leaves his well-paying career as a senior executive with a global software company and develops a website to help frustrated Mac owners learn the programs that came on their Mac.  What was he thinking!

“The economic climate is perfect for developing new technology-based business ideas,” says I Rock My Mac founder Seth Marlowe.  “We saw the dramatic need for taking the under-served niche market of frustrated Mac owners and developing customized programs for them to learn how to use their computers.”

Like most businesses, the idea and concept behind I Rock My Mac came from the personal experience of someone unable to find a solution to a frustrating problem.  “I purchased a MacBook Pro laptop in 2009 and, while thrilled with its speed and reliability, became very frustrated with the available learning options for the bundled software,” said Marlowe.  “Over several months I spent countless hours searching, browsing, reading and watching mostly low-quality, disorganized and oftentimes annoying content on at least 50 different websites.  I even lugged my MacBook into the mall to meet with a genius, but was distracted by all of the commotion and forgot most of what I learned within a few days!”

Marlowe’s career professional background of presenting and teaching complex software technology programs gave him instant resources and confidence to develop the programs for I Rock My Mac.  His experience in delivering high-quality information, training and consulting for carefully-selected niche markets would be the driving factor behind the new Internet product.  He then devoted hundreds of hours to learning everything about the Mac from front to back.

“I tested and selected the most advanced technology available on the Internet to create, organize and distribute video-based learning,” says Marlowe.  “I then hired a Charlotte creative, marketing and Internet design and development company, The Idea People, to design the highest-quality website possible and pull together the marketing and support plan for launch date.”

The technology behind the website is totally scalable and allows for thousands of users to watch videos and interact with the website without suffering any slowdowns or system glitches.  “The technology we are using on the website actually adjusts the quality and delivery speed of each video based on the user’s own Internet connection and bandwidth that they have in their house,” said Marlowe.
