Charlotte Website SEO Traffic Conversion Increases Website Prospects!

Charlotte Website Traffic Analysis Charlotte Website Traffic Conversion First Build Traffic, Then Convert Them to CustomersDoesn’t conversion only pertain to E-commerce stores?  How can my informational website actually convert web visitors into customers?  This all sounds very complicated.

Well, the answer is “yes”, converting website traffic to customers is a complicated process.  But why wouldn’t you want to begin today in converting your website traffic into actual customers that you track back to your website?  You would!  And The Idea People can help you.

The past 10 years in website design, website development and internet marketing has been devoted to building traffic on your website with the occasional customer that happened to contact you and purchase something.  In 2011 and beyond, the emphasis on your business website is broadening to include plans on not only attracting the appropriate type of traffic, but also steering that traffic through a conversion process.

So how do you really convert traffic to customers?  There are many ways that will help your websiteCharlotte Website Conversion Charlotte Website Traffic Conversion First Build Traffic, Then Convert Them to Customers convert traffic into customers.  It starts with a really well-designed website with navigation aiding in the funneling of traffic into conversion “nets”.

Conversion Nets are destination points on your website where you ask your website traffic to perform a converting activity.  Let’s use the really popular converting tool of “asking for website traffic to sign-up for a free White Paper.”

The Conversion Net was staged on the landing page that brought the website visitor onto your website.  We wanted them to sign-up for the free White Paper.  So on the landing page, we prominently placed a “Free White Paper” box on the upper right side of the page.  And the topic of the White Paper was highly relevant to the website traffic that landed on the page.  In reality, we could easily convert them on this landing page into giving us their email address in exchange for the free White Paper.

Charlotte Website Traffic Converting Charlotte Website Traffic Conversion First Build Traffic, Then Convert Them to CustomersBut, the visitor started clicking into other pages.  Our Conversion Net was also staged on interior pages in the same upper right corner with the same offer.  We want to convert this website traffic!  So we now have several Conversion Nets staged in the same place on interior pages of our website.  Let’s say that one of our website visitors decides to get the free White Paper.  They interact with our Conversion Net and initiate the free White Paper sign-up process.

Don’t ask for too much information!  Best advice is to ask for their name and email address.  We’re all use to giving that much information.  If you start asking for their address, phone number, business name, etc., they are likely to spring from your Conversion Net.  Start out with their name and email address.  At least you have that much information to begin marketing back to that prospect.

*Smart Tip* Include a check box on the sign-up form that gives you permission to send the prospect some information about your products and services.  Even go as far as put a statement on there that you will not spam them with unwanted emails!

Rutland LongBeachShow2 Charlotte Trade Show Booth Client Has Tremendous Success with New Graphics & VideoRutland Plastic Technologies is in the creative business of serving the screen printing industry as the leader in screen printing inks, ink technologies and new ink creation.  Rutland has been doing this since the mid-1970′s.  And they are very good at it!

Each year Rutland attends the largest, mega-sized screen printing trade show in Long Beach, CA.  It’s the literal “who’s who” of screen printing and Rutland is always in the middle of it.  With one of the largest trade show booths (this booth is so large it should be called a “block”!), Rutland assigns The Idea People the exciting project of creating a new theme and graphics to wrap around their sales goals and new product introductions.

This year’s new product introduction is a screen printing ink technology called “Endurance”.  That gave us an immediate idea of movement and action.  As you will see in one of the photos on this page, the use of mannequins and smaller sign displays created a literal maze of information for trade show attendees to easily walk in and through the Rutland trade show floor.

We used Rutland’s most popular screen printing ink colors for the background and showcase of each Rutland LongBeachShow3 Charlotte Trade Show Booth Client Has Tremendous Success with New Graphics & Videosign display to promote a different ink and screen printing technique.  We also shot and produced five (5) cutting-edge product demonstration and marketing videos that looped on plasma monitors around the outside of the Rutland booth.

The comments back from the trade show floor were tremendous!  Rutland had a packed booth and had an amazing and tremendous result from this year’s Long Beach show.  We will keep you updated on the launch of their new “Endurance” screen printing inks as the product enters the marketplace in early spring.  We’re sure it will be another smash hit for this awesome company.

If your company would like to have a new creative mission developed for your trade show initiatives, please call Jay Joyce of The Idea People at 704-398-4437 or email jay@theideapeople.com.

Charlotte Internet Marketing & SEO Begins with a Good Keyword Strategy Tied to Your Marketing Plan!

SEO logo 150x150 Charlotte Search Engine Optimization Begins with Simple KeywordsEverybody is reading, learning and blogging about SEO and keywords.  You see so many opinions and suggestions…”The Top 10 Keywords You Should Use in SEO”…”Why 100 Keywords Will Rank You #1″…”Keyword Your Way to Millions!”  Lots of claims.  Lots of stories.  Lots of traffic.

Our keyword philosophy here at The Idea People is straightforward and highly relevant to your particular product or service.  We like to target a few trophy keywords (especially launching a new website) and several long-tail keywords.  It makes for a good and consistent mix when you’re starting out.

Trophy keywords are your main vertical category keywords that are immediately important to your business mission.  We’ll use our company, The Idea People, as an example.

Our particular trophy keywords are:  charlotte web design, charlotte website design, and blogs small 150x150 Charlotte Search Engine Optimization Begins with Simple Keywordscharlotte internet marketing.  Our company has to exist in these keywords because that describes our business to a tee.

Our long-tail keywords include:  charlotte business blog design, charlotte business growth, charlotte graphic design company, charlotte business website design, charlotte corporate video production, and several others.

We target all of our Charlotte business blogs and Charlotte business social media posts (two more long-tail keywords!) to include these keywords.  Keyword strategy has to tie back to a marketing plan.  You shouldn’t spin out of control on a crazy keyword campaign that does not tie back to a strategy in your marketing plan.  You’ll drive yourself crazy if you do!  It takes time to do this right.  Time is your best ally and worst enemy on the search engines.

The Idea People 2011 Business Journal 150x150 Charlotte Search Engine Optimization Begins with Simple KeywordsWhat are your company’s trophy keywords?  What are your company’s long-tail keywords?  What is your company’s meta site description?  What is your company’s keyword density for trophy keywords?

If you would like to learn more about keyword marketing with search engine optimization, call Jay Joyce at The Idea People at 704-398-4437 or email jay@theideapeople.com.  We can help you identify your company’s keyword mission with a straightforward methodology without all the hype and spin.
